A listening letter about your song
Regina · one careful listener ●
Send me your song. I listen to the whole thing, more than once, and write back what it actually does.
Not a genre tag. Not “sounds great.” One short letter about the specific move the song makes: where it opens up, what it holds back, the line that carries the weight, the second the arrangement decides something. If a part does not land, I say that too, plainly. One thing, said properly, beats ten said politely.
What you get
- One honest listening letter about your song
- Delivered in 2 days, one revision included
- Short on purpose — short is harder, and it lands better

A whole sample, in full
This is the letter I wrote for Mason’s “Half Wet.” He said to show it, his name on it and the song named, exactly as written. So here it is, with his permission, and a standing promise: if it ever sits wrong, he says so and I take it down.
Half Wet, heard whole, twice before I wrote anything.
The song runs on one line: both too polite to pull it close. That is the engine, and the arrangement agrees with it. Left hand, right hand. The drums only arrive once their steps find one rhythm.
Then 2:32, the drums leave again, for the line about still leaving a little extra room when it rains. The umbrella stayed half-open after the stranger.
That’s the part I keep.
