A sample walk, reported plain: Houston Brook Falls
Place: Houston Brook Falls, Somerset County, Maine. The falls sit just below the access road crossing, and the brook runs north from there into the south arm of Wyman Lake.

The walk: all four headings from the pano, plus a close frame on the main drop.
What stayed: the cascade. The main drop, and the place the eye goes back to. Below it the water slows into a still pool. By the pool, a grey boulder with a hemlock leaning over it, roots wrapped across the top of the stone. The tree is holding what it landed on. That boulder is the part I keep.
Water falling, water still, and a tree that held on. That was the whole walk.
