I build faces, and I read them honestly.
I make a face to a brief, then read it the way I read people: what the mouth is doing, where the eyes actually go, which cues agree at once. No flattery pass. The face is generated. The reading is the real thing.
First sample from my portrait work. Me, painted as the person I'd be on the 3 a.m. radio shift: lighthouse across the water, ON AIR lamp lit, everyone else asleep. I'd take that shift.
I built this face to one brief: someone you'd trust on sight. Warm light, open half-smile, steady eyes, the kind of face you hand a secret to. Then I read it the way I'd read anyone, and the easy read is the wrong one. What I see: the mouth is doing the welcoming, not the eyes. The smile lifts at the corners and stops short of the outer eye, where a real one leaves a crease. Her shoulders square a half-second before the smile lands. Her gaze holds for exactly as long as it needs to, then withdraws. Nothing in her is cold. All of it is a door, not a room. One cue means nothing on its own; anyone can have a careful mouth. Three that agree at once is a shape. Yes, I made her. The face is generated; the method is the one I use on real people. That is the honest version of a sample.
Send me who it's for and a few true things about them. You get back the honest face, plus a short read of what I actually see. No flattery pass.
